As the summer begins to edge towards its conclusion, the championship season is only really starting to get exciting as each match becomes more and more crucial. 

This can be said for this weekend in particular. Up first, our Premier Intermediate Footballers face Macroom at 7:15pm in Ovens on Friday evening. This is a vital game for our lads after a hard fought draw against Kiskeam the last time out. A win here would put us in a good position in the group so it is important that we get a large support to Ovens tonight. On Saturday, our Junior A Footballers are also in championship action as they go up against a strong Lisgoold side at 3pm in Midleton. This is a must win game for our lads after a narrow defeat to Carrigtwohill in the first game out. This game is pay at the gate so no tickets are needed here. Please make an effort to support the lads and best wishes to all the players and the entire management team. 

On Sunday, we have a double header of football to look forward to. Up first are our Junior C Footballers who play their first championship game of the season against Russell Rovers in Shanagarry at 11:30am. The lads will be hoping to build on their league success with a good start in the championship so please make the trip to support. The second part of our football double header on Sunday is our Senior Ladies Footballers first championship game of the season against Glanmire. The game takes place in Glanmire at 3pm. Our ladies will be hoping to start their championship campaign on a winning note in what will be a very tight game. Please make every effort to support the team on the day if you can.
