Tue 30th Aug U13 Camogie league Sarsfield 3-2 Aghada 1-2

On Tuesday evening Aghada met Sarsfield in the U13 league. While Aghada lost 3-2 to 1-2 the team played with great skill and sprit. Each player gave all their effort and battled hard to the finish. This team are improving with each match and the both the Aghada and Sarsfield supporters were very impressed by the skill and determination of this team, formed just a few months ago. Sarsfield opened the scoring with two very good points, after some strong attacking and equally strong defence from Aghada. In the second half Sarsfields pressure led to two goals before a surge from Aghada led to one goal and two points.
There are no matches scheduled for this week. Updates will be posted next week.
Training continues each Wednesday at 6.30pm at the pitch in Rostellan. Under 8,10,12 and 14.

We are holding the club Registration/Fun night next wed 30th march in Rostellan at 6.30pm. All welcome!!

AGHADA CAMOGIE CLUB

Dear parent,
A registration fun night has been organised for next Wednesday 30th march in the club grounds in Rostellan at 6.30pm.
The aim of the evening is to “Learn skills, Have fun and meet new friends”. This fun night is open to all girls aged 7 and upwards. If you want your daughter to get the thrill of playing this great sport then bring them along on the night.
You do not need any Camogie playing experience; girls will be grouped according to age. Helmets and hurleys may be borrowed if your child does not have their own. The club shop has subsidised hurleys, helmets etc in stock for anyone who wants to avail of these.
Parents are more than welcome to stay and enjoy the Fun Evening, meet the coaches and encourage your own superstars!
Registration will be €30 for one child, €25 for the second child and €20 for subsequent children. You don’t have to sign up to anything on the night just feel free to come along and try it out for a start.
We are in the process of deciding on our club colours at the moment, so we are giving the girls the opportunity to have their say. Attached is a colouring competition for the girls to design the gear that they will be wearing in all competitions. We would appreciate if both parent and daughter would sign the back of each entry for this colouring competition. There will be prizes for the best entries as decided by the committee. The girls can also try their hand at colouring the Camogie crest.
The club will be taking part in competitions starting shortly.
