AGHADA HURLING AND FOOTBALL CLUB

Aghada lead by 6 points at half time,but,a strong wind in the second half helped Midleton to a 4 point victory in a very intertaining under 13 East Cork final in Midleton on Bank holiday monday evening.
The standard of football was high and very competitive,however Aghada lost their way in the second half and could not penetrate the Midleton back line.With 4 minutes left we were one point down and all the team tried their best to break the midfield and full back line,but,the Midleton team were stronger and grew in confidence to score a goal and seal the victory.

This was an awesome display off football from our lads .Everyone played well and stuck to their task to bring the first trophy of the year to Aghada .Stephen O Halloran started our scoring and finished with a tally of 1-4 Jack Farmer what can you say unreal one for the future. Aaron Berry showed what defending is all about with a brilliant display .Jack McGauran played a captains role at centre forward while Charlie Terry was a torn in Killeagh’s side putting away three goals. James Gilroy finished off our scoring with a well taken goal.

Saturday 28th U 13 D football championship Aghada 6-4 Midleton 1-3

The U13 second football team had a good win over Midleton on Saturday 28th in Midleton. This was this teams first introduction to the full-size pitch .They took this in their stride with great displays from Aaron Berry, Stephen O Halloran, Jack McDonnell & Conor Cotter. The next outing for this team is the Championship final in Rostellan on Saturday 11th April. Team;

Sat 21st Mar U13 A football championship Aghada 2-7 Killeagh 2-6

After a slow start we improved and went in at half time all square. The second half was a much tighter contest as both teams went score for score. We defended well in the last few minutes and hung on for a one point win in what was a great team performance. The next match is the East Cork semi-final with Kiltha Óg on Wednesday April 1st at 7pm in Dungourney.team
