Sat 5th Sept Cobh u11 hurling Tournament
The under 11s showed the way in the annual Leahy Tournament in Cobh on Saturday. They made life hard for themselves in the first game losing by a point to Kiltha Og but made amends against Carrigtwohill in the second game to nail down a final berth. The only black spot in the game was a bad hand injury to Gavin Kelly when he went for two full length block downs in quick succession only to get a bad blow the second time. This was a typically fearless display by Gav and we wish him a speedy recovery. We did not come home empty handed as we came up against Cobh themselves in the final which we won after a very strong performance. So, congratulations to these players on well deserved silverware.
