Aghada G.A.A Golf society is changing the format of the Sean Dineen Trophy for next year. The trophy is now going to be presented to the winner of a season long match play tournament. This will Start in April And Conclude with the final to be played in East Cork Golf Club in September.

• Name of those wishing to play Must be given to a committee member by 1st March 09.
• Only fully paid up members of the society are entitled to take part
• Draw will take place at the end of March with the first round to be completed by the end of April – No Time extensions will be given.
• Each pairing drawn will have a committee member as their liaison in order to get the match organised.
• In the event of the match not being played then both players must decide on who is to be nominated to go through to the next round. If agreement can’t be reached then both players will be eliminated.
• The person draw out of the hat first will have choice of venue for the match.
• Both the semi-finals and the final will be played in East Cork Golf Club
• The Format is match play with handicaps counting i.e. if some one playing off 19 is against someone off 18 then on index 1 a 5 for the person off 19 is the same as a 4 for the person off 18 etc.
• The handicap that you play off in the first round is the handicap you play off for the tournament regardless off being cut or receiving shots back
• The draw and results will be posted on Aghadagaa.com and will be updated regularly.
• Committee decision is final on all matters.

This is our first year organising an event like this and we are hoping it will be a big success. All of your full co-operation during the running of this event will be greatly appreciated (and might lead to good favour with the handicap secretary)
