U11 HURLING 2008

Sun 5th Oct U11 Hurling Final
Aghada lost to Russell Rovers

Thur 26th June U11 hurling Aghada 6-6 Youghal 4-0

The under 11s fought back well after their first defeat to secure a very good win against Youghal. The side shipped four goals but got some great scores. With Jack Farmer and John Looney back in the panel, there was a significant improvement all round.

A fine performance from Charlie Terry with 2-3, 2 goals apiece from Hannah Looney and Aaron Butler as well as points from John Looney (2) and Matthew Leahy (1) put the home side back on track. A big improvement here against a strong Youghal side,

The panel included

Jack Farmer,
Luke O Connell, Cian Savage, Jack Foley,
Matthew Kidney, John Looney, Edward Leahy,
Charlie Terry, Mark Healy,
Steven O Halloran, Aaron Butler, Kevin O Hanlon,
Hannah Looney, Daniel Creedon, Paul Daly.

Patrick Rice, Kaelin O Donoghue, Declan Foley, Liam Farrell, Jordan Tynan, Connor Cotter, Aaron Berry, Ben Foley, Matthew Leahy, Steven Daly.

Thur 19th June Under 11 Hurling Aghada 2-4 Kiltha Og 7-0

The under 11 hurlers fell to Kiltha Og in the first game of the season in a hard fought game in Rostellan.
Kiltha Og were more clinical in front of goal holding out a determined home side. Goals from Kaelin O Donoghue and Aaron Butler as well as points from Daniel Creedon, Charlie Terry, and a brace from Kevin O Hanlon ensured that the game was very close. All substitutes were used and the side lost their shape as younger players came in but, generally, the side needs an improved performance in their next outing.
A last word for Luke Nolan, who is returning to the Deise after a year or so at the club. We thank him for his contribution and wish him well for the future.

The squad included
Steven O Halloran
Luke O Connell, Cian Savage, Jack Foley
Matthew Kidney, Edward Leahy, Joe Hennigan
Mark Healy, Daniel Creedon
Kevin O Hanlon, Charlie Terry, Paul Daly
Hannah Looney, Aaron Butler, Kaelin O Donoghue

Declan Foley, Luke Nolan, Conor Cotter, Patrick Rice, Liam Farrell, Cian O Driscoll, Seamie O Mahoney, Jordan Tynan, Aaron Berry, Steven Daly, P.J Meaney,
