Sat 24th Nov U11 Football final Aghada 5-2 Glenville 2-5

O Donoghue hits hat trick to see Aghada win last East Cork Championship as year comes to a close

Jake O’Donoghue on the top of his form hit a hat trick to see Aghada lift the u11 double
While the score line said Aghada 5-2 Glenville 2-4 this was a great game of football between old rivals with both teams still producing classy players none more then the Aghada centre back Arran Stafford.
The game opened with goals from both sides (the Aghada goal coming from Steven Murphy) which he followed with a point. Jordan Ryan added another minor. Two points followed from Glenville to level scores again. Up steps Jake goal one, then a ball bobbing around the square Jake thinks and fists the ball to the net goal two. To give Aghada a half time led of 3-2 to 1 -2

On resumption Jack Farmer goaled and shortly after Jake hit his third. Now Glenville dug deep and hit Aghada with what they had, now it was time for Matt Stafford, Shane Crowley and goalie Michael Leahy to stand up and how they did while both teams had seven scores Aghada scored the majors to leave them East Cork Champions
