AGHADA HURLING AND FOOTBALL CLUB

Our u16 hurlers bowed out of the championship last Monday night when they went down to Kiltha Óg in Ballymacoda. Our lads started the game poorly and were 1-2 down before they knew what hit them. We started to play better by we still went in at half time 2-6 to 0-1 down. What ever happened in the dressing room we saw a revitalised Aghada team in the second half. We took the game to Kiltha who were only to add two points to their tally for the duration of the second half such was our domination. A goal from Paudie Wall, points from Sean O’Donoghue, Alan Morrissey, Richie Condon, Alan Creedan and two mighty points from centre back Kenneth O’Brien brought us back into the game. Alas the lead was two big to haul back as time ran out. Next up for these lads is the football championship again against Kiltha Óg on Mon 8th Sept.

We welcomed Cloyne down to Rostellan for our u16 encounter. On the night Cloyne proved two strong for our lads. While we started well with Alan Morrissey in top form. Cloyne came back at us and ran out handy winners. Team Finnbarr Day , Conor Rice ,Daryl Kidney , Dave Condon
