Our u14 hurlers bowed out of the Championship last Thur. night. While things did not go right on the night we were closer than the score suggested. Short Sean Hargan and Cain Fleming we were always up against it. Over the year these lads can feel very proud because they raised the standard of there hurling over course of the season . Losing out on a league final place by only one point was scant reward. But if we can maintain the improvement we will soon be making finals team Pa . With seven of the winning u12 team playing +
two subs Aghada made light work of Cloyne in the Christy Ring park
last Sunday Aghada had all the aces and when Brian McCarthy goaled
in the opening minute we never looked back . Five minutes later
Andrew O’Donoghue had the ball in the back of the net. For
the rest of the half Aghada were only able to add two Cain Fleming
points to Cloyne’s one to leave the half time score 2-2 to
0-1 On resumption Cloyne turned to play with the wind and we expected an onslaught , and when Cloyne got two quick points it looked bleak . Aghada had other idea’s and with Finbarr Day , Eoin Savage and Ronan Sheehan in fine form in the fullback line Cloyne could make no headway and when Cain Fleming scored 1-3 from play Cloyne were in trouble . They did add two more points to leave the final score 3-5 to 0-6 . Conor Rice ,Aidan O’Connell and Rory Walsh caught the eye Team Pa Crowley Eoin Savage , Finbarr Day , Ronan Sheehan Willie O’Shea , Conor Rice , Gearóid Murphy |

Aghada had a deserved draw in the u-14 hurling

of the game only for Finbarr Day to take a fast puck out to Cian
Fleming who went on a 30 yard solo run and pucked a high ball into
the square with Eoin Healy doing some great work the ball broke
to Padraig Mulry who struck an unstoppable shot to the St. Catherines
net to give us a share of the spoils. Overall it was a great team
