Thur 31st July u11 hurling Aghada 4-2 Killeagh 5-2

We travelled to Killeagh to take on the home side in our first game of the u11 ground hurling championship just two days after losing the u12 county final. Our lads showed no lack of appetite for this game. Indeed we started in whirlwind fashion. Captain Richie Dowling started the scoring with a fine goal followed by one from Gerard O’Brien. Killeagh then hit back scoring 3-1 without reply to leave the half time score 3-1 to 2-0 .
Richie again hit the net to start the second half off Rohan Kennedy cut a point to level then Brian Condon restored our lead again with a point cut over the bar. Killeagh came again to score 2-1 before William Leahy set up Gerard O’Brien for his second to set up a grand stand finish. But the ref blew up on the puck out. Brian O’Bryne in goals had a great game as did Michael Daly and Giorgio Corigliano in the half backline .Tim Hartnett and Cormac Sheehan played well at full back .Fergal Culligan , Michael McCarthy , Raymond Savage , Emma Farmer, Greg Hargan , Tim McCarthy and Jack Moran more that played their part
